Galactic Expedition 2026 Morocco

Meet in Marrakech and depart around 9:00 AM. An easy trek through green hills, olive groves, pine woods, red-earth paths and terraced fields, with lunch near the river. Overnight in a welcoming guesthouse or small camp in the Berber village of Tassa Ouirgane.

A peaceful circular hike through the valley, gentle hills, forest trails and views over the lake. We pass remote villages, meet local families, then enjoy tea and the slow rhythm of village life.

Travel south through mountains, canyons and open plains. After lunch in Foum Zguid, 4×4 vehicles cross a lunar track past the Tajine-shaped mountain, isolated oases, fossil areas, nomadic families and dry Lake Iriki. Evening music, fire and stars at Erg Chegaga.

Move slowly with camels through high dunes. Learn to load the camels and bake bread beneath the sand, eat among the dunes and watch sunset from the highest dune. Sleep in tents or beneath the stars.

Return to Foum Zguid by 4×4, then continue to Tata, a large oasis surrounded by palms and orange mountains. Traditional dinner and a slower evening.

A relaxed day for local rituals: traditional hammam, a palm-grove walk and typical music in the evening.

Arrive in Taghazout, a welcoming surf village of seaside cafés and warm light. First of two nights at Azoul Hostel.

Surf, rest or explore the coast at the ocean’s slow rhythm. Sunset together from a sea-view terrace. Second night at Azoul Hostel.

Return to Marrakech together, arriving by evening with minds full of images and hearts full of stories.
